November 13, 9 ladies traveled to Cazadores Mexican Restaurant in Seminole. It was not only delicious but I came home with enough leftovers for 2 more meals. I never saw such a huge burrito!

Read moreThis year’s parade will be held on Saturday, December 11, at 5:45 pm on Wetumka’s Main Street. Immediately following the parade, a drawing will be held. Ten bikes will be given away for children ages 3rd - 6th grade. Sign-ups for the giveaway will begin at 5:15 pm and you must be present to win. Free hot chocolate and popcorn will be available. Santa and Mrs. Claus will also make an appearance in the parade before flying back to the North Pole!

Read moreAttention pet owners: As of November 1, House Bill 1580 went into effect. A person owning or keeping a dog confined outside in accordance with subsection B of this section shall provide the dog with access to clean water, food and appropriate dog shelter. The dog shelter shall be fully enclosed on at least three sides, roofed and have a solid floor. The entrance to the shelter shall be flexible to allow the dog’s entry and exit and sturdy enough to block entry of weather elements. The shelter shall contain clean bedding and shall be small enough to retain the dog’s body heat and large enough to allow the dog to stand, lie down and turn comfortably. The enclosure shall be structurally sound and in good repair. Suitable drainage shall be provided so that water, ice or waste is not in or around the shelter. Fines for violating the provisions of House Bill 1580 start at $50 for the 1 offense, $200 for the 2 offense, and $500 for the 3 offense and be subject to impoundment of the animal in the local pound at the owner’s expense pending compliance with this section, or loss of ownership of the animal.
Read moreThanksgivings are such a special time of the year. For most of us. For me it getting to see my loved ones. Sharing a big Thanksgiving meal and being thankful for one another. This year we planned a biggie. All four of my kids and most of their kids were to show up. All brought food. Lots of it. One grandchild even brought her kid (no we didn’t eat him), great-grandson named Iggy from Austin, Texas. We were all pretty thrilled with the idea of it all. I don’t really know who all showed up, such is the size of my family, but it was a good crowd.
