Felix Linden was recently named Oklahoma City School District 2023 District Teacher of the Year where he taught for thirteen years. Read moreOHCE stands for Oklahoma Home and Community Education. They are a wonderful local organization to Hughes county. They meet monthly and provide scholarships for the county, blankets for nursing homes and military boxes for locally deployed military boxes just to name a few. Just this last week you could have found them sewing neck cooling ties to distribute out to the military. You can frequently catch them judging 4-H contests and working at the county fair. There isn’t anything this group of members won’t do for our county. We are so excited that May 7th through the 13th has been proclaimed as OHCE week for Hughes County. If you love helping people and would like to learn more about our local OHCE group, call the local extension office at 405-- 379-5470.
