EcoLink Broadband Coming to Clearview

Broadband is coming to Clearview. For a few years, East Central Electric provided the surrounding customers with wireless broadband internet services. East Central Electric received additional ARPA funding for rural cities and is now in the process of installing underground fiber to the town. The community is very excited and anxious to receive this new service.

Wetumka City Manager’s Report

Mayor Marshall and Mrs. Parker was at Principal Chief David Hills office on Friday No vember 8, 2024 to sign the MOA for the funding that the Wetumka Municipal Authority will receive. The funding is for the sewer lagoon project and the water plant repairs. For the sewer lagoon project Wetumka will receive $2,953,971.00 from the Indian Health Services, $1,245,579.00 from the Muscogee Nation, and $2,379,450.00 from the EPA. For the water plant repairs Wetumka will receive $1,413,000.00 from the Muscogee Nation and $1,322,950 from the EPA. This funding is a BLESSING for the Wetumka Municipal Authority. DEQ visited all the Wetumka Municipal Authority sites on November 14, 2024.
