July 4 celebration in Clearview was enjoyed by a grand showing and competition between the Jackson, Stripling, and Nero families against the Barrett family. Fireworks continued for a few hours and the winners were determined to be all the above. Next year, there will be a battle. Sympathy is extended to the Tillman family upon the death of Robert of Wichita. Burial will be in Clearview. Please continue your prayers for those on the sick list Joyce Barrett, Sharon Johnson Patton, L. C. Carson, Marjorie Plunkett, Kevin Sinnett, Kurrilue Johnson, Billy Walker, Cornell Lucas, Eugene” Cowboy” Tyler, and Jean Chatman.

Ted Jr., Amber, and Gresha organized the party at a local restaurant in Bricktown for the Jackson’s grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sister, and brother-in-law to meet at the restaurant ahead of the arrival of the Jacksons. Upon arrival, of which the Ted and Marilyn had no idea, the group broke out with a birthday greeting to the incredibly surprised couple. Ted, who turned 70 in December was unable to celebrate because of Covid, and Marilyn, who will be 70 on July 20 have now crossed a big hurdle and joined the over 70 group along with her sister and brother-in-law the Nero’s.
