Better Late Than Never...by Donnie Williamson, Wetumka Class of 1975

I had a daughter graduate this year (as Salutatorian I might add!) and during the Senior assembly I noticed a couple of former graduating classes providing a scholarship. I graduated with the class of 1975, and we held our 50th Class Reunion in Wewoka in June. I mentioned that since this was such a special year we should give a scholarship to someone in the class of 25. Everyone agreed and my classmates started laying down some money for it. There weren’t many of us there but in a few minutes, we had $500!

Wetumka Schools Calls for School Bond Election

The Wetumka Board of Education held their regular meet - ing, August 12, 2025 in the Administrative Office Board Room. The following members, administrators, personnel, and guests were present : Travis Gates, Rufus Scott, Ga - len Glover, Jeff Osborn, Marcus Neese, Donnie Williamson, Jordan Smith, and Misty Bowman. The meeting began with the invocation and flag salute followed by the President, Rufus Scott calling the meeting to order.
