Gale Lucas Parker will host a grand opening her restaurant/store in Clearview on September 11, 2021, in honor of her mother Wanda Jean Lucas. Everyone is excited about the new business in town, especially a new eating place specializing in hometown favorites. The location is Main Street and Clearview Road, at the four-way stop. Details of the opening are coming.

Now with Clearview becoming a part of the Oklahoma Black Town’s tourism trail, it is fitting to have a place to sell items of memorabilia representative of Clearview and the surrounding area. The town trustees are working out the details and should be open soon to visitors. The center is located on Main Street across from the War Memorial.

This diverse, bright, and driven group drove miles throughout the Muscogee, Seminole, Potawatomi, Sac and Fox, and Oklahoma Territory to visit the towns of Summit, Taft, Redbird, Tullahassee, Rentiesville, Vernon, Clearview, Boley, Grayson, Langston, Lima, Tatums, and Brooksville, also the IXL, Wewoka, and the Oklahoma History Center. Along the way, the group learned how the towns collaborated and networked to build communities. They gained valuable history lesson and historical content as well.
