Over 85 family members and friends gathered at the Allen Church of Christ on Saturday, November 5, to honor Lee Otto Harrington for his 90th birthday. His actual birthday is November 3.

National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

Each year on Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Survivors, veterans, and visitors from all over the world come together to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. A further 1,178 people were injured in the attack, which permanently sank two U.S. Navy battleships (the USS Arizona and the USS Utah) and destroyed 188 aircraft.

Bessie Coleman ~ 1892-1926

Bessie Coleman soared across the sky as the first African American, and the first Native American, woman pilot. Known for performing flying tricks, Coleman's nicknames were "Brave Bes sie,” “Queen Bess,” and “The Only Race Aviatrix in the World.”

The Town of Clearview will be sponsoring a community holiday dinner on December 15th at 5:00 pm. at the Clearview Main Street Community Building at no cost to the public. All are welcome to attend. Ted Jackson is now home after spending a week in Hillcrest South Hospital. He is doing better but will need future testing and treatment.
