Each year on Dec. 7, Pearl Harbor Survivors, veterans, and visitors from all over the world come together to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. A further 1,178 people were injured in the attack, which permanently sank two U.S. Navy battleships (the USS Arizona and the USS Utah) and destroyed 188 aircraft.

Bessie Coleman soared across the sky as the first African American, and the first Native American, woman pilot. Known for performing flying tricks, Coleman's nicknames were "Brave Bes sie,” “Queen Bess,” and “The Only Race Aviatrix in the World.”

Once upon a time there was a family of wayward members of the church who had lost interest and fallen away. There was a father, and three sons, Jim and John, and Sam. The elders had talked with them about their lost condition. The preacher had done everything within reason that he could think of to lead them to repentance.

The Town of Clearview will be sponsoring a community holiday dinner on December 15th at 5:00 pm. at the Clearview Main Street Community Building at no cost to the public. All are welcome to attend. Ted Jackson is now home after spending a week in Hillcrest South Hospital. He is doing better but will need future testing and treatment.
