Deputy Marshal Bass Reeves and his two wives, and to listen to Art Burton discuss the history of Oklahoma Outlaws. Oklahoma Historian Dr. Matthew Pierce opened the event at the History Center. Dr. Donnie L. Nero Sr. served as the master of ceremonies. Shirley Nero, Chair of the OHS Black Heritage Committee and OHS Board Member, presented the “Reason for the Occasion” and welcomed everyone.
