Participants were instructed in the art of Mandala Rock Painting by HSPS member and artist, Laura Calvery. Participants learned about the tools and supplies that had been provided to complete the class and what would be needed in the future to further explore the art at home and in future classes. Supplies such as dotting tools, stencils, mediums for preparation of a wood piece for practice, or a rock were discussed by the accomplished instructor. Other supplies such as paints and sealers were discussed and demonstrated. Laura demonstrated the new document camera and large screen television donated by her family to ensure that all class attendees could see the instructor’s example. This system will be used to enhance future workshops at HSPS such as the February and March workshops. Watch for more information coming soon.
