Malik Patton graduated from Del City High School on May 21 . Malik is the oldest son of Tasha Patton and the grandson of Elvis and Sharon. Elvis is a Clearview High graduate and Sharon Johnson Patton is a graduate of Weleetka High School. Malik has three other siblings. Congratulations to Malik and your future endeavors.

For those who missed last week’s Tribune article, this campaign is earmarked for Ukrainian Rescue Sites, identifi able by the big blue dot on the sides of UNICEF tent cities along Ukraine’s borders. These sites minister to refugees whose homes have been demolished or abandoned—in many cases, escapees literally running for their lives. The rescue facilities feature temporary housing, meals, medical attention, and psychological support for traumatized children. Likewise, computerized tracking helps keep children out of the hands of human traffickers.

Read moreThe Town of Clearview participated in the Oklahoma Great American Cleanup/Trash-Off on May 17, 2022, campaign to clean up their streets and cemetery. Groups divided cleaned the Main Streets and cleaned the Clearview Cemetery. Those in the cemetery removed old flowers and tree limbs in preparation for Memorial Day. All participants are sixty-plus years old. Those on Main Street removed trash from bar ditches. The town anticipates continuing the project throughout the year. The Great American Cleanup/Trash-Off supplied the vest, trash bags, gloves, and sign. Participants included left to right Earl French, Marilyn Jackson, Ethelene Scott, Patsy French, Alpheus Grundy, Marjorie Plunkett, Helen Bush, Peter Bush, Joyce Barrett, Donnie Nero, and Shirley Nero.
