Members of the Okfuskee County OHCE clubs met on Tuesday, December 12th for their Winter Meeting. After the business meeting, Jan Maples, the County Educator recognized outgoing president Henrietta Hicks and secretary Shirley Nero. Both served two terms totaling four years served each. Maples presented them with engraved OHCE cutting boards. After the presentation, Maples installed in the incoming officers (left to right in photo) secretary Rita Cooksey, President Sherri Largent, Vice-President Diane Laos, and Secretary Marilyn Jackson.

An African American motion-picture actor known for his comedic characterizations, Dudley Henry Dickerson, Jr., was born in Chickasha, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory (present Grady County, Oklahoma), on November 27, 1906. He was the fourth of six children of Dudley Henry Dickerson and Cora Hilliard Dickerson. His siblings were Norman, Irene, Hortense, Delora and Alycef, four of whom were born in the Chickasaw Nation.

The Clearview OHCE Brown Suggas and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Beta Epssilon Lambda Chapter of Boley have teamed together to feed the community of Clearview free of charge on December 15th at 5:00 p.m. at the Clearview Main Street Community Center. The meal will consist of Taco Soup,cormbread, dessert, and drinks. Those attending may stay for card games and dominoes.
