Our sympathy is extended to the family of Dawnyal Hill

Dawnyal Graham Hill, 52, left this world on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Dawnyal Kayleen Graham was born on June 20, 1973 in Holdenville, Oklaho - ma to Donald and Gwendylyn (Jones) Graham.

She graduat - ed from Holdenville High School with honors in 1991. Af - ter graduation she attended OSU, later obtaining her Bache - lors in Broadcasting and Journalism from Cameron University.

She married Jef - frey Hill on June 21, 2002 in Holdenville. To this marriage was born three children: Lillian Hill, William Hill and Nathaniel Hill.

Dawnyal worked many years at Hold - enville Daily News and Eufaula Indian Journal and for the past 12 years at the McAlester News Cap - ital. She received the Oklahoma Press As - sociation award in newspaper design. She was a very active volunteer at the an - nual Woody Guthrie Festival for more than 25 years. She had a passion for music and enjoyed going to concerts and music festivals. She was a Hughes County Girl Scout Troop Leader for 35 years and en - joyed attending Girl Scout activities, es - pecially the camps.

She was a very dedicated mother, she enjoyed attend - ing music festivals with her children and spending quality time with them. She also adored her compan - ion, Galena.

She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Graham; two uncles, David Gra - ham and Albert Gra - ham, and one aunt, Joann.

She is survived by her children: Lil - lian, William and Na - thaniel; her mother, Gwen and spouse Ron Miller of Carson; two brothers, Jere - my Graham and wife Amanda, of Lamar, and Dustin Graham and wife Jessica, of Lawton; two uncles, Paul Jones and wife Denise, of Holden - ville, and Bruce and wife Betsy, of Texas; three aunts, Ruby Bevelhymer and husband Earl, and Jerretta Cook, all of Wewoka, and Cheryl Graham of Lamar; a host of other relatives and friends.

Dawnyal was a giving soul, she al - ways had a beautiful smile and a loving heart to give every - one.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, 4:00 p.m. at the Lamar Community Center. Pall Bearers will be Oda Jones, Speedy Gonzalez, James Westwood, Chris - topher Epperley, TJ Morrison, and Ricky Allen. Honorary Pall Bearers will be Dustin Graham, Jeremy Gra - ham, William Hill and Nathaniel Hill. www. fisherfh.net
