Onema M. Bland passed away Tues - day, August 12th, 2025, at Mercy Hospi - tal in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 95.
Onema was born December 27th, 1929, in Atwood, Oklaho - ma to James Elmer Hayes and Lexi Mae (Denton) Hayes. Onema graduated from Atwood Public School. Onema mar ried Freddie Osborn Lawrence deceased 1964 later she mar - ried Corbin Bland de - ceased 2005. She was a Para (teacher's aide) for Calvin Public Schools. Onema was a member of the Cal - vin Free Will Baptist Church for 65 years. Onema loved reading and cooking for her family. In her young - er years, she enjoyed needlework. Onema is preced - ed in death by her parents, husbands; Freddie Lawrence, Corbin Bland, broth - ers; Odell Hayes, Du - rell Hayes and grand - son Patrick Adamson. She is survived by her children; Teresa Sear - cy and husband Earl of Shelbyville, Ken - tucky, Dennis Law - rence and wife Geri of Muskogee, Okla - homa, Donna Dotson and husband Walter of Dublin, Texas, Fre da Adamson and hus- band TG of Calvin, 7 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 20 great-great grand - children, and sister Patrica Hammonds of Atwood, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers are Carl Searcy, Greg Dotson, Josh Dot - son, Jason Lawrence, Remi Garza and Brent Turner.
Viewing was held at 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Au - gust 14, 2025, at Hud - son-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Graveside service was held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 15, 2025, at Calvin Cemetery with Pastor Jim Benedict officiat - ing.
Interment followed at Calvin Cemetery.
Services were un - der the direction of Hudson-Phillips Fu - neral Home, Holden -
ville, Oklahoma.
