Tyson Macaih Morrison

Tyson Macaih Morrison passed away in Oklahoma City on Friday, April 18, 2025, at the age of 20 years.
Tyson is the son of Jerry Don Morrison Jr and Bridget Marie Mason, born on January 19, 2005, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was brought up and attended schools in Shawnee, and then attended Job Corps in Guthrie for six months.
Tyson was a pleasure to be around. Some of his favorite things were playing basketball, listening to music - especially Rap - and spending time with his girlfriend, Sheila. He had a serious sweet tooth and loved candy and sweet potato pie. He was a great storyteller and enjoyed entertaining family and friends, especially with funny stories. He loved spending time with his family, particularly during the holidays. He was dearly loved and will be very much missed.
He is preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Clyde Boyd; grandmother and step-grandfather Lydell and Michael Perkins; and grandfather Jerry Don Morrison Sr.
He is survived by his mother, Bridget Mason, of the home; his father, Jerry Don Morrison Jr. of Texas; sister Madison Morrison and brother Mason Morrison, both of Midwest City; grandparents Natalie and David Yeager of Del City; greatgrandmother Roxie Boyd of Holdenville; aunt and uncle Bridget and Lonnie Barker of Holdenville; uncles Jeffrey ‘Doc’ Moore of Holdenville, and Chris Perkins of Texas; great-uncle Napoleon Moore of Oklahoma City; other family members and many friends.
Graveside services were held and Tyson was laid to rest at Thomas Town Cemetery north of Sasakwa on Saturday, May 3rd, at 12:00 noon, with Rev. B. Keith Hardwick officiating.
