Linda Frances Welch

Linda Frances Welch, age 84, of Okemah, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2025, in Aurora, Colorado. She was a longtime resident of Wetumka, Oklahoma.

Linda was born on October 17, 1940, to Thomas (Tom) and Vinita Richards. A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She lived a life rooted in love, faith, and family. Linda will be remembered for her strength, her warm spirit, her sassiness and unwavering care she gave to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred Welch (2013); her parents, Thomas Richards (2008); Vinita Richards (2005); her brother, Jimmie Richards (2022); her daughter, Carla Conners (2014).

She is survived by her children: Vickie (Gene) Scholl, Fred (Noel) Welch Jr., Thomas Michael (Jennifer) Tanner, Penny Perkins, Russel (Marsha) Welch, Angela (Matt) Vance, Issac Welch, Larry (Kayla) Welch, along with many foster children, family and friends. Linda’s legacy will continue through the lives she touched and the family who loved her deeply.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 7, at Williamson Spradlin Funeral Home, 221 South Main Street, Wetumka, Oklahoma. Graveside service to follow at the Wetumka Cemetery.

A private visitation will be held for the family on Thursday, June 5th, between 4:00-6:00 PM.

A public visitation will be held on Friday June 6, between 4:00-6:00 PM.
